Sonic the Hedgehog

Sonic the hedgehog was sega's mascot for a number of years.. this franchise introduced a break-neck speed of gameplay; my only complaint was that it sorta discouraged exploration, but was refreshing in that u could zip thru a level so quickly.. it let u play and react impulsively, which is a tribute to it's level design.
